Frankenstein: A New Version Of It's Alive From Invedars

Hey guys. News about the game formerly known as It's Alive.

After the first prototypes, two editions of It's Alive from Reiver Games, and two versions of Hanukkah themed versions called Candle Quest by Victory Point Games and on The Game Crafter (still available), the game has been picked up by Invedars, returning to its original Frankenstein theme.

The new version is called Frankenstein and it looks amazing. New artwork, and a figurine and a new events expansion for Kickstarter backers.

The project is up on Kickstarter and reached its goal in only 24 hours. It is now many times above its goal.

They have already sent prototypes to reviewers for new reviews, for example:

Uclan Games Design Students In Global Games Jam 2020!

What a truly awesome bunch of students and Alumni we have!
They've all worked really hard together in groups over the whole weekend for long hours and they've now completed the Global Game Jam 2020.

The Global Game Jam 2020 started on Fri 31st Jan in all sites around the world, and this year's theme is...

Repair
The theme reveal clip at the end of the GGJ20 keynote video showed objects in various states of repair, breaking and repairing buildings and pots, repairing relationships, and plants repairing themselves.

See the theme video.

Lewis Wright, who organised the event at UCLan with Simon Ashcroft said, 'Everyone smashed it out of the park, cleanest game jam I've been a part of. Every group had fun and a working game by the end of it.'

They recorded all of the games that were shown at the end, including the game dev ones as a comparison. They're gonna make a show-reel out of them for us all to see on the YouTube channel.

They even tidied the studio room before they left. Time for some well deserved sleep for them all. Wish I could have joined them this year as the comradery and sense of fun was evident as always as we watched them working away via Twitch TV. ☺️

So proud of you all!

Peter was also commended in @TheRookiesCO competition and his 3D environment work was included in Epic Games Unreal Engine Student Showcase Reel 2019, featured on YouTube.
Peter got to meet a lot of people in video games and film and movies at the BAFTA GURU live event in London.

Peter said:

"It all started with a complementary breakfast at 9. There were about 60 people like myself who had been selected to attend. Everyone was talkative and approachable, and an event like this is really cool for networking and making new connections.
An hour after the breakfast, it all kicked off, with a "round table" with a professional. Mine was with Will Byles, I got to meet and ask questions, and he even gave us his email, so I can drop him a message if I have questions for him.
After that was one-to-one sessions of 15 minutes where we had opportunity to speak to more people. I actually got to speak to an Environment Artist I met over at the Feudal Japan Challenge at ArtStation. He had even had downloaded my CV and made some comments and feedback on it. Extremely useful! His name is John Griffiths. I also spoke to Amanda Allen who is current writer and designer at 'No Man Sky.' Masterclasses and talks were also super useful."
